Five Mouth-Watering Recipes You Can Make In A Frying Pan
Sometimes you just don’t have time to cook a whole meal or you're just looking for a little less clean up on a busy weeknight where you can throw a bunch of ingredients into the frying pan and be done. Well, if you're looking to simplify dinner time a little bit or help with a quick meal prep look no further than these easy one pan recipes!
1-MAC & CHEESE
1-Combine 2 cups of milk, macaroni, salt, and pepper in a frying pan.
2-Add another cup of milk and cook until pasta is soft and milk starts to thicken.
3-Add the cheddar and mozzarella, stir until cheese is melted and pasta is evenly coated.
4-Top as desired!
2-CHEESE OMELETTE
1-Crack two eggs into a bowl, season with a pinch of sea salt and black pepper, then beat well with a fork until fully combined.
2-Add ½ tablespoon of oil to a fry pan and pour in the eggs and swirl the eggs around the pan.
3-Once the omelette begins to cook and firm up, sprinkle grated cheese.
4-Once it turns golden brown underneath, remove the pan from the heat and slide the omelette onto a plate!
3-CHICKEN LASAGNE
1-Heat oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat. Sautée chopped onion and garlic for 5 minutes.
2-Combine lasagne, chicken, basil, chilli and half the mozzarella in a bowl.
3-Add the mixture to the pan and stir to combine. Pour over pasta sauce along with 2 cups of water and simmer until lasagne is tender.
4-Top lasagne with spinach, ricotta and mozzarella cheese and grill for 5 minutes. Serve with salad leaves!
4-VEGGIE & TOFU STIR FRY
1-Add cashew nuts and sesame seeds to a frying pan over a high heat and cook until golden, then tip into a bowl.
2-Cut the tofu into cubes, dust with cornflour, a pinch of sea salt and black pepper.
3-Add oil to the pan and fry the tofu until golden and crisp, then scoop it out of the pan and drizzle with honey.
4-Chop the garlic and ginger, slice the spring onions, pepper and chillies, cut the broccoli into florets and halve the sweetcorn.
5-Return the pan to a medium heat and add the garlic, ginger, spring onions and chillies. Stir-fry until the garlic turns golden.
6-Add your vegetables and stir-fry for a further 4 minutes. Squeeze the juice from half a lime and add a splash of soy sauce.
7-Tip the vegetables into bowls, top with the crispy tofu and serve with the remaining lime wedges and some chilli sauce.
5-SHRIMP FRIED RICE
1-In a frying pan, add oil and garlic, stir for one minute. Add carrots and peppers and sauté, 3 minutes, then add shrimp and cook for 4 minutes, stirring occasionally.
2-Add rice and peas, season with soy sauce and sesame oil. Sauté for 2 more minutes.
3-Move the rice to one side of the pan and add an egg. Stir egg until fully cooked, then mix it with the rice.
4-Garnish with Sriracha and green onions and serve!
